Client: Knudsen Printing

Scope:  Event Marketing, Create the Total Graphical Ambience for a Business Party Stampede

Mission:  Create the visual landscape for a client-appreciation event, from invitations to posters to table tents to wearable artwork, all to promote an award-winning, four-color printing company. Lasso 'best of breed" presses and design talent in both producing the message and underscoring the message. Round up staff members to "square off" (dance-wise) with bedazzled clients.

Key Insight:  Have you noticed how printing companies seem to reel in the coolest print design awards? No surprise. They simply want to showcase the most exciting print samples, on the best paper, hot off their own presses. When we brought Colorado's Knudsen Printing a 12-color offset print job, an oversized invitation, we demonstrated the outrageous good fortune of "split-fount" press run capability. You could say we got their juices and inks really flowing.

Those wild horses kicking up the surf? Agency stock! (Yes, we know horse whisperers.). The square dancers in duotone and the cowboy’s fraying lasso contributed to making the printer's brand as indelible as the brand on a champion Angus steer. The oversized invitation piece, a 3 foot square, with a 12-pms color printed “bandana” on the back side, was also reproduced as a wearable facsimile. Who prints in 12 colors anymore? You're looking at 'em, and we did it at a time before you could produce a match-print PDF proof. You remember the days when cutting amberlith was the only way to indicate color separations? We started on the cutting edge. And never left it!
