Client: Colorado Design Group

Scope:  Architectural Firm, Branding

Mission:  Design branding (logo, identity package, website) for new architectural collaboration.

Key Insight:  This logo (and family of projects) was very personal for me. A new business partnership seasoned by the 30 plus years of my very talented father with two younger colleagues, created a broad skillset. The new team challenged me to design a logo for my own mentor. Working with the initials of the new firm, CDG, my goal was to create a ligature composition that would reflect a sense of space and construction with the grace and inspiration I witnessed when my father crafted his architectural solutions. Space and counter-space carved the 3 letters. The form reminded me of one of my favorite buildings and coincidentally my father’s favorite designer, Frank Llyod Wright’s Guggenheim Museum.
